My Latest Community Sponsorship

I love sponsoring local community events, and I especially like sponsoring local events that feature kids. If you follow my Facebook at all you will remember last year I sponsored Granite Bay High School’s Design & Engineering Club’s ‘Green Grizzly Machine.’  The team traveled from the Sacramento area to Houston last year to compete on a global scale with hundreds of other teams. They took first place in the Urban Concept Alternative Fuel Division!

This year I have sponsored the team again – and they will be competing in Detroit, Michigan in April against numerous other teams once again. They will have constructed an Urban Concept Vehicle to compete this year. Their hope is to build upon last years experience and improve the cars efficiency. The team is comprised of GBHS Seniors who are motivated to compete in the next Shell Eco-Marathon to further their experience with the design & fabrication process.
